Fees
Version 1.0 — effective 2026-08-26.
Current rates
- Taker orders — 0.20% (20 basis points)
- Maker orders — 0.10% (10 basis points)
These are the rates registered against our builder code with Polymarket. The Software reads them live from Polymarket at startup rather than assuming them, so what the app charges and what Polymarket has on record cannot drift apart.
How it is calculated
The builder fee is a flat percentage of the notional value of the fill:
fee = shares × price × rate
So 100 shares filled at $0.40 as a taker is a notional of $40.00, and a fee of $40.00 × 0.20% = $0.08.
The fee is charged per fill. An order that fills in three parts pays on each part, on that part's own size and price — never more in total than a single fill of the same size at the same average price.
What this is on top of
Polymarket charges its own platform fee, set by Polymarket and calculated by a different formula that depends on the price of the outcome. The builder fee is additive to it. Polymarket's fee is not ours, is not shared with us, and is not something we can waive.
The ceilings we operate under
Polymarket's Builder Program caps what any application may charge:
- 100 bps (1%) maximum on taker orders
- 50 bps (0.5%) maximum on maker orders
Our rates are one fifth of both ceilings.
Polymarket also gates how fast a rate may move: at most one change every 7 days, and a scheduled change takes effect 3 days after it is scheduled, with only one change pending at a time. This is a protection for you, not for us — a rate cannot jump on you between one order and the next, and you have three days' notice of any increase. We will not exceed the ceilings and will not attempt to move faster than the gating allows.
Polymarket may revoke any builder's ability to charge a fee at any time, at their sole discretion.
Costs that are not ours
Venue platform fees, Polygon network and gas costs, the bid-ask spread, and any bridge or currency-conversion cost are set by third parties. They are not ours to set, waive, or refund. In particular, deposits and withdrawals cross a bridge whose spread is charged by the bridge operator and not by us.
Refunds
A fee collected on an executed trade is not refundable, because the trade cannot be undone.
Changes to this page
Rate changes are published here before they take effect, with the effective date, and this page keeps the previous rate on record so a change is visible rather than silent.
