Create a wallet, bring the one you already trade with, or look around without signing in at all.

The welcome screen

The first screen offers four routes. The one you want depends on whether you already trade on Polymarket.

The welcome screen with its four options

If you already trade on Polymarket

Your Polymarket funds live in a wallet controlled by a key that Polymarket can export to you. Bring that key here and you are looking at the same balance and the same positions — this is a different front end for the same account, not a new one.

  1. Choose I already have a wallet.
  2. Use Get my key from Polymarket to open Polymarket's own sign-in, log in with the email you use there, and copy your private key.
  3. Paste it into the field and continue.

The app password

Whichever route you take, you choose an app password (minimum 8 characters). It encrypts the vault file on this PC. It is not an account password: it does not exist anywhere but on your machine, it cannot be reset, and nobody can recover it.

It is asked for again when you unlock the application and when you reveal a recovery phrase or private key.

Wallet setup (one-time, free)

Right after a wallet is set up, the terminal runs Wallet setup — a batch of on-chain approvals the exchange needs before the wallet can trade. It is sent through a relayer, so you pay no gas. It runs by itself and reports its progress:

If it stops on an error, Re-check trading setup runs it again. Nothing is lost by running it twice; a wallet that is already approved reports "Wallet is already tradeable".

More than one wallet

Settings holds the list of saved wallets. You can add another, switch the active one, or remove one from this PC. Removing a wallet deletes only the local copy — if that is the only place its recovery phrase exists, it is gone. Reveal and write down the phrase first.

Reading without signing in

Browse markets read-only is the honest way to look around, and it is also the safe way to follow this manual: the navigator, the ladder, the grid and the tape all work. Anything that would spend money is unavailable until you sign in.
