Install

Download, first launch, and the Windows warning you will see on the way.

Requirements

• Windows 10 or 11, 64-bit
• A GPU that supports DirectX 11 — the interface is GPU-rendered
• About 200 MB of disk space, plus room for the local market cache

Download

1. Open the releases page.
2. Download RungTerminal.exe.
3. Download SHA256SUMS.txt next to it if you want to verify the file.

Verify the download (optional but recommended)

Open PowerShell in your Downloads folder and run Get-FileHash .\RungTerminal.exe -Algorithm SHA256. Compare the result with the line in SHA256SUMS.txt. If they differ, delete the file — do not run it.

First launch

There is no installer. Put RungTerminal.exe wherever you want to keep it and double-click it.

Windows will show a blue "Windows protected your PC" panel the first few times. This happens to every new application that has not yet built up SmartScreen reputation. Click More info, then Run anyway.

Where your data is kept

Everything is local, under your Windows user profile:

• the encrypted wallet vault
• the market cache and your layout, theme and settings
• a debug log, rungterminal_debug.log, next to the executable

Deleting the executable does not delete the vault. See Troubleshooting for the exact paths and how to remove them.

Updating

Download the new RungTerminal.exe and replace the old one. Close the application first — Windows will not overwrite a running executable. Your vault, settings and layout are untouched.
